I became a graphic designer out of necessity Working with light and lasers - visualisation became an essential tool in the creative designers toolbox.Long before Photoshop the IBM PC with basic Windows 2 tools and CorelDRAW (a vector graphics package) allowed users for the first time to create realistic visualisations for business presentations. The complete kit of scanners printers high resolution monitors could cost many thousands per desktop and training was almost non-existent - we were all pioneers. Vector Graphics allowed CAD (Wireframe) objects to be layered over each other or over scanned photographs and rendered in a photographic like output but retaining a smooth - sharp look at any size. View the NEON logo at HD TV resolutionMy work with LASERs using “Vector Graphics” and CorelDRAW came to the attention of Thames Valley University (now University of West London). I was invited to teach Computer Graphics for Business to B.Tech full time students and later developed courses for evening classes.Developing business links with record companies allowed students to work on “Live Briefs” where course work was presented in the hope that completed assignments would eventually be seen in record shops. With the advent of the Internet the use of computer graphics has grown exponentially and I have consistently kept my skills up to date with the complete range of 2D & 3D Computer Graphics and website creation technologies. No business can afford NOT to present the best images to a highly critical audience, we have but seconds to create that first impression on social network sites - I am happy to offer a complete range of skills to the right employer.
